    Heard this in a song...

I was listening to a song when I heard some russian lyrics. I only know some russsian words but not enough to translate this, so could someone please try to translate it for me? Thanks.

    Nikogda nichego
    Nichego ne nachat
    Nikogda nikogo
    Umirat i molchat
    Ne iskat, ne lyubit
    Ne zhalet, i ne spat
    Nikogda, nikuda
    Nikogo ne puskat
    Ne vdvoem I ubem
    Ihm prisnitsya voda
    Ne tvoe, ne moe
    Provoda, provoda
    Geroin, pulsa net
    Tolko ty ne pri chem
    Abonent otklyuchen
    *In Yoda voice*
    When learning, you are still
    Innocent, you still are
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!

"провода провода" means never-ending wires (in the sense "overhead wires") or "wires all around"
    a Hero, no Pulse
    Heroine(narcotic), no pulse

That's a bad translation, since it doesn't make sense in English.

    E.g. Nikogda nikogo
    Umirat i molchat

Means: Nobody ever die or be silent.

This is from the t.A.T.u. song Stars or Зачем я

    I humbly disagree with you!

umirat and molchat looks imperfective infinitive to me.

Your translation would have to be
Никогда никого НЕ умираЕТ и молчИТ

Note that "never" makes it imperfective

Edit: oh I see you edited your post
And with the lyrics you posted, my translation isn't that bad. Just thanks to Friendy, for correcting me!

    Yes you're right.

What I meant was, say you see this: [These are lines from another TATY song]

    Никто ничего
    никогда не поймёт

    It does not translate as:

    Nobody nothing
    never will understand

    It's translates as:
    Nobody will ever understand anything.

What I'm saying is, when you translate poetry or songs, you don't have to keep to the same line structure.

I agree, but with this TATU lyrics, the "sentences" don't make sense since the verbs are in infinitive

    Никогда никого,
    умирать и молчать.

Ooh... maybe it is better translated to:

Nobody is ever there, (as in Никого нет, that's why никто is not used)
to die and to be silent. (I still like fall silent better, but that is замолчать)

умирать is the impefective of умереть - to die. Which means умирать is a PROCESS, not the actual result, so it should be thought of "to be dying", but that sounds strange and maybe is better simply as "dying" which would require a sentence structure change:

    Nobody is ever there,
    dying and being silent

    What do you think?

I checked some translation of the song and this seems right.x

    For evermore, there is nothing
    There is nothing to start
    No one is ever there
There to die, silence to keep

Not to search, not to love
    No regret and no sleep
    For evermore, anywhere
No one shall ever be released

    Why do I

explain why do i wait for call
why mute clouds from far away
come here to melt same day
why love has touched us in this way
why do i cry for the first time
why do i want you here to stay
    i dont know

im a star and your a star
    and we are to burn
    someone gave and they repeat
    places where we meet

    eyes on the ceelings
    nothing to find
    voices will shake
    and ice will break

    no gain without keys
    sleep and silence keep
we are off not to find
    and theyre hanging behind

    but just smile and untie
    cover mirrors away
    rip apart and then say
i am dead i am dead

    now connect and then lick
    become noone and sick
now your hand does not shake
    yes the hand is ok
    to fight back
    easy as two times two
jump in cab and then blow
    never beg never go
all is good all is right
now i know how to fight

here are things, how to fix
all of that is times six
but dont call and dont fall
i am tired i am tired
i dont want you at all
you fucked me off the wall

explain why do i wait for call
why silent clouds from far away
come here to dissapear same day
why love has touched us in this way
why do i cry for the first time
why do i want you here to stay
    i dont know

    nevermore nothing there
    nothing there is to start
    never noone is there
    are to die, silence keep
not to search not to love
    no regret and no sleep
    nevermore and nowhere
    noone shall ever be released
    not to gether, to kill
    water dreams they to feel
but not mine and not yours
    wires here wires there
    heroin, pulse is gone
but you are not to blame
    only phone that is off

How would you translate "Ты меня за***ала"?
Literally it would be "You f*cked me" (until you were blue in the face)
But doesn't it also mean "You've bored me"

    From my Russian slang book:

    1. To f*** into stupefaction "в эту ночь, ты меня совсем ****ла"
    2. To tire someone out "Ты меня ****ал своими вопросами"

I guess in this context, the latter is more accurate.

The swearing is not directed toward anybody and nobody is offended.
I dont think people should be banned for this, especially people who have contributed a lot to this forum.

I agree that learning to swear in Russian does not add too much to the value of learning the Russian language. So maybe we should keep the swear words to a minimum.
