Thread: Help with the word томим

I have been learning a russian song called я вас любил. The words are by Pushkin.

I've been translating the poem for myself to help me understand the best way to perform it but am stuck on one word.

Я вас любил безмолвно, безнадеждо,
То робастью, то ревностью томим;

I just can't find a translation for the word томим in any dictionary and my memory for cases isn't very good any more so I can't work out what word it comes from.

Can you help please?

It's a short form of томимый, passive for томиться - be parched / pined with smth. So the line would be:
At one moment being pined with shyness, at another with jealousy.
