Ahh my bad Helen-- it was supposed to be "by 12 screws with equal radius distribution" (not "with equal radius from each other" like I originally and stupidly wrote).


Anyway, I think this thread got a bit derailed...I'll write the English version of this question-- if anyone can please help me translate it to Russian I'd appreciate it:

The flange connector shown in the drawing is fastened by 12 screws at equal radius distribution (R=125mm). On the connector acts an external bending moment M=10 kNm

Calculate:
1) The force acting on the screw with the most load.
2) Pick an appropriate bolt

Given:

Allowable strain at screws = 100 MPa
The friction coefficient for the thread is 0.12
