    Help

    Это правильно?

My throat always hurts when I wake up, but then I drink water and it goes away- Когда я просыпаюсь у меня всегда горло болит. После того, как я пью воду всё нормально.

It sounds right to me to say:

когда я встаю, у меня всегда болит горло. но тогда я пью воду, и всё в порядке.

I appreciate your help, but it is not correct.

    Maybe:
Когда я просыпаюсь у меня всегда горло болит. Но после того, как я пью воду всё в порядке(нормально).

I could not understand what goes away? Throat? Pain? But "pain" was not mentioned above.
Or in this situation is acceptable to say similar to colloquial Russian "Горло болело, но прошло" (here is the same - no word for "что прошло").

I started to forget my own language .
После того, как я попью воды, всё становится нормально.

    Я бы сказал так:
Когда я просыпаюсь, у меня всегда болит горло, но после того, как я попью воды, боль проходит.

Are you kidding? Nobody would ask about it in real life. It's obviouse that боль прошла. It's not only acceptable, it's more common. Nobody really says "Горло болело, но потом боль прошла". It's more common to say "Горло болело, но прошло" or "...но сейчас всё нормально/хорошо" or "...но сейчас всё в порядке".

Is it ok to say "горло проходит" == "throat goes away"? If we know the context? I'd like to clear this moment. Can I omit "pain" and use only certain subject that I complain about (e.g. ear goes away, arm goes away)?

No, and it just means that literal translation doesn't work for it. Many phrases don't make sense after literal translation, so what?
Eg: сердце не лежит = heart doesn't lie?

We do know the context - "Когда я просыпаюсь у меня всегда горло болит", so "всё" can mean only "боль в горле". The same with other parts of body. It's maybe not correct for written/formal language but it's natural for spoken language.

It looks ambiguous. heart doesn't lie- can mean
    сердце не лжет.
But you are right about verbatim translation, it does not work .
