    letter 3

    i need some help on translating (he is about 13 if that makes a difference)

    Dear Misha,
    Hey Misha! How are you doing? I heard you are playing on a soccer team! What position do you play? I played forward, I loved to score goals. I'm glad you and your siblings are in a loving family here in the U.S. What is your faorite thing about the United States?

    Here is a picture of me playing soccer and some of your from camp last year. Maybe you can send me a picture of you playing soccer!

    А на какой позиции? Я играл на позиции форварда, мне нравилось забивать голы. Я рад, что ты и твои братья и сестры живете сейчас в любящей семье здесь в США. Что тебе больше всего нравится в Соединенных Штатах?

    Это фотографии, где я играю в футбол и немного твоих, с кемпинга в прошлом году. Может быть, ты пришлешь мне фотографии, где ты играешь в футбол?

    its like one of those summer camps they send kids to, not like a campsite. we dont really do that in england, need to ask an american about it. maybe кемпинга is suitable but i would think it would be something like детский лагерь

    Well, monsieur Ожегов says that "кемпинг" is "специально оборудованный летний лагерь для автотуристов." :P
    Please correct my mistakes if you can, especially article usage.

    Wow, that's some statement

    Anyway, why use a borrowed word when you have an original Russian one (лагерь)? :P

    Просто мне показалось, что "фотографии из лагеря" звучит как-то мрачновато
