    Thank you ladies and gentlemen.

    Thanks people, I appreciate it. It has taken me a bit to decipher the posts in Russian but please feel free to keep arguing as it helps me to learn more about the proper uses of Russian in a varietyof circumstances.

    Когда просишь руки и сердца, то однознано лучше (романтичнее) сказать
    "Будь(те) моей женою".
    А если по-простому, без романтики, то можно и "женой".

    чтобы сказать ю, надо, как минимум, ужин при свечах с вином и живой музыкой.
    А за кружкой пива/чая/водки под радиостанцию FM диапазона - оно конечно будет звучать неестественно.
