Do you trust google translater? for russian to english and from english to russian?

Sararozaryo, you might find that this verb восхищаться ("to admire") is more interesting than you think! Because the root -хищ- means "grabbing" or "carrying away", like rapere in Latin.

For example, похищение means "kidnapping", while an eagle or falcon is called a хищная птица -- "raptor bird", or "bird of prey".


And Я тобой восхищаюсь could also be literally translated "I am enraptured by you."

That the problem with translation
While English word "admire" has certain exact meaning, Russian word "восхищение" can have several translation
I think it is better not to use it (thus not to use admire at all), that's first
Second, I don't think "I love you" is appropriate for the first email, maybe it is better to use I like you - ты мне нравишься
Third, "you are my Russian god" definitely will not sound good in Russian, I wouldn't touch anything religious when you talk to stranger - who knows about his thoughts about it
