    couple of questions ...

    ok, this is in latin, but I am listening to voice of russia, and they say..

    'vweferia, golis russey'

    I understand the 'golis russey' part is voice of russia... what is the first word?


    also... after it says some more, if i hear it right it says 'myeznoit itkraneetz'

    what does that mean?

    just trying to pick up some russian... thank you.

    vweferia, golis russey - V efire Golos Rossii - В эфире Голос России. - Voice of Russia is on the air - means they are on the radio air, it's their classical greetings. There two words - V efire - on the Air

    эфир = ether (the hypothetic stuff filling space)

    greek "th" becomes ф in russian, does it?

    th becomes Т or Ф.

    The Greek letter Theta used to exist in Russian, it was pronounced the same as Ф though.
