Chuk and Gek, Please...need help translating this and thanks

No sooner had Mother removed Chuck and Heck from the train and took the luggage from the military man than the train whirled away. Suitcases were on the snow. Soon the square near the station became absolutely deserted, but father still didn't come out to meet them.
Mother got angry with him, left the kids to look after the luggage and went to the boxes (?) to find out, what sledge had father sent for them, because there were about 100 km more through the taiga to the place, he lived in. Mother were absent for a very long time, and suddenly a scary goat appeared. At first he ate a piece of wood, then bawled obnoxiously and for some reason began staring at Chuck and Heck. Chuck and Heck hid hurriedly behind the suitcases, because you never know, what local goats might want from you.

gRomoZeka, all is well, but why Гек is "Heck"? "Geck", maybe?
And maybe "Чук" is "Chook", cause "Chuk" sound more like "Чак". (And he really isn't Chuck Norris ).

God granted me the serenity to accept the things
    I cannot change
Courage to change the things I can
And wisdom to know the difference
