Thread: озвучивать - help wanted :-D

what does this mean? it's in none of the dictionaries i have, but the context i get from it is that it has to relate to movies or theater somehow. thanks a great bunch!

really it's not only "adding soundtrack to movies",
but just "making smth audible"
like " Он озвучил кое-какие свои идеи" . Here "озвучил" is very close to "высказал, сообщил, сделал достоянием общественности"

Yes, it relates to movies. Let's guess what it means - озвучивать - ать means that it is a verb (do), the stem -звуч- is like in words звук, звучать - sound, and о- like about/on. So озвучивать means "do sound on (movie) - got it?







The answer is "to record soundtrack"
