It's not really self-centered you are worried about, it's more "not centred on DDT". Yes Australian woman may not be family centred and the country is trying to boost the birth rate, but last time I checked Russia had a severe baby shortage, not baby boom. And people talk about Western Girls being high maintainance - well have you seen the ways Russian girls dress and how much makeup they wear. We even had a discussion where everyone pretty much agreed that Russian women always dress to impress and look their best and this was a good thing. Suddenly in this disuccsion they are not high maintainance.

Yes women are biologically designed to have babies and be mothers, but in this day and age most men don't have good enough jobs to support a family and wife on their salary alone. A woman wanting a career and delaying having kids is not self-centred. And as I know from school, and university they have far more ambition and work harder than the guys. A school us boys did no work and messed about all the time. Even now at uni I spend most of my free time getting drunk. The girls get down to hard work and study. So it is a bit unfair expecting them to not have their own career and life so they can pop out your sprogs.

And of course there are women who do want to be mothers and be housewives but most can't afford to me. I know if my mother had given up work my father's wages were not where near enough to support us, and even with welfare we'd have lived in a shitty house in a dangerous area.

I agree with TATY. Russian women are being among the most demanding women in the world (or so I think ) I think every woman wants to have children but where could she find a suitable father to sustain her and their children? It's great to marry a purse but there are so little purses around. And what are the alternatives? To summarize - you'll get a real princess only if you are a real king yourself. Or at least a movie-star

Our dog is a lab-collie mix -- it definitely learned tricks better than our other dogs have. It's funny too -- you just tell her "Annie, get out!" and she leaves the house. The other dog glares at you and goes back to sleep.
