After being warned of a massive terrorist plot to kill thousands in America the FBI/CIA decides not to pursue an investigation. After the plot succeeds in killing thousands of Americans the FBI/CIA finds a schizophrenic who is more than happy to "confess" to the crime. They back up his confession with testimony from a prisoner in their illegal Cuban Island POW camp (where torture isn't REALLY torture). Of course we should all cheer that the culprit has been caught and will be executed (along with all of his invisable friends and psychotic delusions).
How does this relate to a forum on Russia?
This decline in the sanity and morals of America is just one of the reasons I have moved to Russia.

From the decline of American sanity and morals to RUSSIA!!!

The reason I love Russia is exactly for its lack of sanity!

And as for morals... I don't know if Russia is on my top ten list

I thought you moved to Russia because you married a Russian

Exactly. All the stories of "The Evil Empire" that Americans have been spouting off for years are no different than the things that are happening in the USA right now. Russia and America are in many ways mirror images of each other. Political corruption and scandal, bureaucracy, declining freedoms, etc, are all the same in both countries.
At least in Russia people are honest about it, while Americans continue to close their eyes and insist that the US is pure and righteous.

I married a Russian but our decision to live in Russia was not out of necessity, but based on where we could best live in peace and comfort.

If you get an American corporate job but get stationed in Russia you can live like a king! Or a queen as it were.

Good ol' sane moral peaceful Russia, practically an Eden. Makes me want to watch that 20x20 махач again. Sanity is clearly a relative term.

Is that supposed to be a genuine poster or is this something some one dreamed up in PaintShopPro? The reason I ask is that I would have expected them to use "вред" instead of "опасен..."

Well, yeah. You can relax in your cabin in Napa Valley, go wine tasting, play some golf...

If you take away government and big cities, no matter where you go. You have Eden!

Eden... a land where there were two people who had no clothes and only an apple between them but called it paradise.
