Ну, я уже их нашел, хотя я совсем не искал.
Are you able to get to London-> Totternham court road easily? There's a specialist alcohol sellers on one of the side-streets (on same street as a chinese buffet...although thats most streets in London!) that sells a large number of vodkas. They even sell a vodka called Crystalls which tastes okay and has two ll's due to some sort of rules infringement and problems with the home company in Russia etc etc.Originally Posted by mooman

The only vodka I have ever tasted is called "Flagman". I don't really know how it stacks up with other brands because first I've never tasted any other brands and second, I've never really been interested in learning for example from my friends or even parents what vodka they like best of all.
mooman, where in the UK do you live? I'll be in London and Bournemouth in August, so I could bring you a bottle if you want.
You seem to have had a lot of experience in breaking various rules since you said "sure there are rules but there must be a way around it"...lol..., so you'll tell me how I can clear the customs with a bottle of vodka, ok? :P

just dont tell them you have it! thats what i do
A year ago when I was clearing the customs at the Toronto International airport, I was asked by a officer to open my bags and show him the contents. I don't think I looked suspicious or anything. I was glad I didn't have a laptop, because if I had one, the officer could have asked me to switch it on to ensure that there was no classified information on the HDD. It's a pity I don't know the customs laws. Can anyone tell me whether a customs officer can ask me to switch on my laptop or PDA, for example? I know it depends on the country you're visiting but just tell me how the law works in your country.

I don't know what all the excitement is about when it comes to Russian vodka. It's fine - but you can find comparable products in the states. Now, if you want a really good vodka, try Polish - zybrofka (dunno how its spelled - TATY?). It's excellent with a side of apple juice.

I remember visiting the Baltika brewery near St. Petersburg in March (actually that was fun), and the guy named all the foreign brands they were brewing...Originally Posted by pisces

Speaking of beer, it's a pity that I've never tasted Soviet beer. Many of those who've tasted Soviet beer claim that it's the best beer they've ever tasted. Take my Dad, he's tasted a lot of sorts of beer but says that he liked Soviet beer most. I think it's characteristic of the older generation. Most of the younger generation hasn't tasted Soviet beer, so it says foreign beer's better than Russian beer.
