Have a Spanish girlfriend... and you'll know the meaning of love... and anger.
Gotcha. I have lived in Spain for ~ one year, a long time ago. Loved it... Had a couple of girlfriends there myself. Never been to France though...but I've heard that French women are hot
Well, I don't know what to say. I want to say thanks to the Academy, to Mama, to Papa and to my dog. I love you all.

I possibly wouldn't mind that much if their language at least sounded like the real French language. It's not like I am a snob about it, but I simply can't understand what the heck they are saying.

Do people get pissed at you if you speak English all the time?

Nah, most dont care. In fact if they don't speak English all that well, they'll grab the opportunity to practice, since bilingualism is a standard requirement on the job market. It looks like I am the only person around here who doesn't speak both languages fluently, so I never have any problem with communication. Overall I have to pick it up sooner or later, I am being pressed for this at work, because of the Language Act and all that legal nonsense.

In fact, it is very difficult because if locals hear that I hesitate with French, they'll switch to English right away. Sometimes I try to pretend that I don't know any English, then they get pissed off

Yes, what a non-sense that some people want to speak the national language at work.

They can speak whatever the heck they want. However, most professionals I know care about their job being done in the first place, while what particular language they speak to achieve that in the second or even in the tenth. That is if their job is not just talking. Some, however, do find the concept of language being just a means of communication rather difficult, so they are very particular. The good part is that those people work mostly at entry level positions. They don't have to speak at all.

"не тревожился" (изучать его) - тут не подходит.
In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.
