Thread: What's your favorite foreign language?

Below is a list of some of popular languages to learn. If you were to give a vote to just one language on the list, what would it be?

I voted for latin because it's the mother of nearly all European languages.

It sounds amazing! Its Ж's and Ш's are very beautiful sounds indeed.

I like Gaelic but it's not listed.

Я вот зачем-то проголосовал за французский, но честно говоря мне несколько языков почти одинаково нравятся. И английский, а если считать не только иностранные, то и русский мне тоже нравится и немецкий прикольный. Другие я просто не учил еще.

Да, а почему нет русского? Для многих здесь он тоже иностранный.

None of the above. I'd vote for English if it were on the list. I am learning French now but I'm kinda indifferent to it, I only do it out of necessity.

Ah, yes, the Quebecois. I think if Monty Python were still doing skits, they'd have one where the Spanish Inquisition, in an effort to save money, outsources its duties to the Quebecois. NOBODY EXPECTS THE QUEBECOIS!

Russian and English are kind of obvious to be favorites. I am polling about others It appears that French and German are pretty popular.

Arabic, Russian, Polish - what else?

English...my native tongue.

Since I could not choose Russian... I chose Spanish.

Beautiful language, logical and easy grammar. And very useful in North, Central and South America, as well as Europe.

If I was going to choose another language to learn though... it would be Mandarin Chinese.

I predict within the next 10-20 years, Chinese may become the primary language of business and economics.
