Thread: Vkontakte, Russia's facebook clone

Has anyone seen this? Its Russia's clone of facebook. It does what facebook does, but has a larger base in Eastern Europe (more vkoontakte than facebook in russia IIRC)

I've been using it for a while now. and I've noticed a few cool features:

1. It has a massive array of (copyrighted) music for you to listen to online and add to your profile page
2. Its faster than facebook
3. Most importantly - its just like good old facebook.

Anyone one it, anyone use it, what do people think?

Come on, don't be shy about some nicer features of VK
... filled upto 95% with schoolfolk (you will always find someone interesting to talk with).
... infamous for viruses an spam (you'll always have something to do).

I never checked it and don't want to, but as far as I heard it's filled with 12 y.o. My 12 y.o. nephew spends all the time there.

I have one but I don't use it often as I only have 4 friends added on there.

I have had one for several years now but rarely check on it!

I have been on it for at least a year. Check it every day.

I've been using it since 2007, it's very convenient.

It's a really cool project with lots of Russian music and movies for those who need some practice in listening - for free.
