What does КЮ mean? I was trying to guess its meaning for a couple of minutes but failed.

'Course, I know what hobbit is. I've watched the movie you're talking about. Never heard of this word though.

ReDsanchous, you need to immediately get a hold of Kin-Dza-Dza, legally or othewise, and watch it at LEAST three times. Only after watching it, can you call yourself a Russian citizen

Even though I haven't seen Kin-Dza-Dza and never heard of it I can call myself a Russian citizen. What's so special about this movie?

Yeah, you're right - I have heard of Евгений Леонов. There seem to be a few pics of him on the website adoc mentioned. Am I right?

Easy there tiger, I was joking!
I knew you were kidding me! I was just complaining... :P

I've heard a theory that you have to sorta read the words backwards and then they have more sense. Then пацак turns into кацап, кц into ЦК, эцилопп into полицай, and ПЖ (the monarch of the planet) turns into what used to be the Brezhnev's nickname. But the youngsters, they don't know any of that, they don't understand the whole grand concept of цветовой дифференциации штанов.

That movie was a bomb (not in a bad way) back when it came out. Nobody could believe it was possible to get it past the censorship.

Wow, that's interesting, thank you, but still it doesn't explain all the words. There must be some other "secretes" too.

Oh, please! Don't start it all over again! I mean enough of this complaining about modern generation. It's like... стариковское ворчание :P There is no need for the youngsters to watch such hard movies as Kin-Dza-Dza.

Of course, I've heard about that movie (Кин-дза-дза) and I'm surprised ReDSanchous hasn't. But I haven't watched it because it's... just boring stuff... нудятина одним словом

Nah... There is nothing special about that movie. There are much better ones in the Russian cinematography For example, "Я шагаю по Москве". The same director as of "Кин-дза-дза" (Георгий Данелия) but that's a way more positive, easy to perceive movie starring the famous Russian director Никита Михалков. I like the main song of that movie.
Please correct my mistakes if you can, especially article usage.

Sorry dude. I don't like socialist realism, it turns my brain into a mush. Nor do I enjoy watching the famous russian director or any of his masterpieces. But that's just a matter of personal preferences, right?

well, ok. I like ALL russian movies (except "иди смотри"). when I watched "шагаю по москве", I didn't realize who Nikita Mikhalkov was, so now I have to watch that movie again!

Many people don't undestand the humor in most cult movies (I have very few american friends that understand movies like "Monty Pythong and the Holy Grail"), especially if the movies are old, but one has to take into consideration not only the movie but the whole atmosphere it was released in. Learn to sit back and see the big picture (pun intended), not only try to be entertained... well that is how I watch the movies anyway
