What does КЮ mean? I was trying to guess its meaning for a couple of minutes but failed.
Just follow the link boy and you'll figure it out.
I couldn't find the abbreviation on that website!
It's not an abbreviation

Modern generation. I bet you know what hobbit is. Cuz there has been a Hollywood movie about that.
'Course, I know what hobbit is. I've watched the movie you're talking about. Never heard of this word though.
But what is their etymology? Or there isn't any?Quote:

Yeah, you're right - I have heard of Евгений Леонов. There seem to be a few pics of him on the website adoc mentioned. Am I right?
I knew you were kidding me! I was just complaining... :PQuote:

I've heard a theory that you have to sorta read the words backwards and then they have more sense. Then пацак turns into кацап, кц into ЦК, эцилопп into полицай, and ПЖ (the monarch of the planet) turns into what used to be the Brezhnev's nickname. But the youngsters, they don't know any of that, they don't understand the whole grand concept of цветовой дифференциации штанов.Quote:

Wow, that's interesting, thank you, but still it doesn't explain all the words. There must be some other "secretes" too. :)Quote:

Nah... There is nothing special about that movie. There are much better ones in the Russian cinematography  For example, "Я шагаю по Москве". The same director as of "Кин-дза-дза" (Георгий Данелия) but that's a way more positive, easy to perceive movie starring the famous Russian director Никита Михалков. I like the main song of that movie.Quote:

Many people don't undestand the humor in most cult movies (I have very few american friends that understand movies like "Monty Pythong and the Holy Grail"), especially if the movies are old, but one has to take into consideration not only the movie but the whole atmosphere it was released in. Learn to sit back and see the big picture (pun intended), not only try to be entertained... well that is how I watch the movies anyway
