Thread: synching subtitles with VLC?

If you're using VLC and the subtitles appear before the words are spoken, does anyone know how to synch that?

As far as I know (I always use VLC player), you need either to correct the subs, or to correct the video file.

(I always did the first)

In my version of VLC it is under Tools -> Track synchronization; you can also hit the h and g keys repeatedly while a video is playing to increase or decrease the subtitle delay.
