Like many other questions of this kind, had that question been totally pointless, there wouldn't be something which is called Sociology. I think jouna was just looking for a trend. But I highly doubt any single person could give an answer better to "everyone is different." So, probably an adequate poll should have been created. How representative that poll would be, that's another question.

Olya, your native tongue will always be the language of your emotions, so when you try to express emotions quickly in a foreign language things can get messy.

Before replying so seriously to this comment maybe you should read the title of the thread. Do you see the smiley? Did you only see the words "Why Americans hate Russians" buy were unable to see the question "Why Russians hate Americans"? Scott, saying that "someone's remark is stupid" is not very clever. (you don't need the word either since you're not comparing Scott's action to anything.)
