I replaced 10 with 9 because of the following consideration. If a man says his grandmother has 10 children, then obviously one of the children must be the man's father or mother and the other 9 his uncles and aunts. It's not mockery, it's just common sense, Vinnie
Of course, we don't know how many of the 10 children are still alive.

Come to think of it, there can be any number of uncles and aunts in question, for all we know. We don't know anything about the other grandmather and grandfather and their children
But, anyway, if we're to give the number, considering only the info we got, that number should be 9 and not 10 :P

Yes, of course, I was too rash in my post... I was more concerned with the plethora of different ways to have genetive plural of uncles and aunts! What is the right way?

Бабушка отдавала его своей последней дочке - моей маме, но она постеснялась брать и отказалась. После смерти бабушки он был у одного из моих дядек, сейчас у одной из двуюродных сестёр.
