    Russian Name and.. Tatto.

    Priviet

Hoping that someone could help me...

I am Italian and I am thinking to get a tattoo ; my name (Nicola) in Russian cyrillic.

My russian friend sayd that in the Russian culture to make a tattoo of own name is not nice, because give the impression of a man that has been .....in the jail, (o something like this..).....so she advice me to don't make it.

    THIS IS TRUE ????????

(In Italy this is not a problem, but I will move to russia.)

    Sposiba

    Nick

By the way, 'Nicola' sounds a little 'criminal' in Russian..

There's nothing specifically criminal in Russia in making tattoos.
Of course, jails and penitentiary institutions do have a large tattoo culture. As well as army, fleet, etc.
IMHO, making the tattoo with your own name (and in alien language) sounds like a weird idea.

    Russian Name and.. Tatto.

Thanks to everybody for the reply..

Paxan, my intention is to make a well worked bracelet tatto on my arm, that will include my name in russian..

Scorpio , of course it looks a weird idea, but I want to do it since a long time...I love everything means russia, including my cyrillic name, and also I will move to moscow in some months.

Alexander..I never hear until now that "Nicola" sounds a little bit "criminal" in russia...It will depend maybe by the Tzar..history..or what?

Вокруг предплечья?) Говорят, лесбиянки себе такие делают))
У зэков же татуировки обычно синие, не разноцветные))
Nicola, do as you like. Только не пожалей потом, как Анжелина Джоли, например)))

    sure zaya

Without any doubt it looks clear that "MasterAdmin" has "particular" taste, if he's getting on himself tattoo like that.

it's considered very, very bad luck to have names tattooed, which is more of a concern, I'd think, than someone thinking you did a dime for arson or whatever.

Maybe people who notice it would think that it was your "boyfriends" name.

Maybe you should get your girlfriend's name tatooed somewhere.

Лично я подумала бы, что это имя бойфренда, только если парень ещё чем-нибудь напоминал гея)))
Да что это мы рассуждаем, примут не за того, или нет?
