There are plenty of poems on this site (http://www.litera.ru/stixiya/)

The whole page of love poems:

But be careful, most of them are not about happy love! This one should be fine though.
@MikeM: Thanks very much for your links. I think there might be some poems worth considering.
@all: Nevertheless, if anybody has a fovorite love poem, feel free to post it (if it
Actually I don't like love poems too much but this one I really love. I think it's very sad and very romantic (and pretty short ).
Did I tell you I hate poetry!

How true! The lyrics to a song must also sound "right' with the note of music that is applied to it. Some words do not sound good at a certain point in the song and must be changed. The music must come first. This is what separates poetry from a song.
Many times the words to a song do not sound right without the music.

But the music without the words is a poem of the soul
gRomoZeka, not exactly the kind of poem you'd read to your new wife on the honeymoon!

On the morning after:
Violets are blue.
Roses are red.
Put on your clothes
And cook me омлет!
We had to memorize this song on our Russian class. I still remember it. It's really romatnic.Originally Posted by gRomoZeka
