For example

You'll be understood
I've got a TV, and I'm not afraid to use it
y or i, sh or sh' , z, y, e, ya(ja), yu(ju)
russkiy, sh'epka, zdorovo, lysyi, eto, jawohl

For SMS you use j, w, 3, i or y, e, ja, ju and also the letter cha is normally 4 and the letter zhe is normally *. This is only for SMS. For email or forums that allow latin letters, it is better to use an official translit system.Originally Posted by Невена

Notice the dual nature of p and y in the SMS translit line. Not to mention w for both sh and shch.
Sorry...it was just kidding - it is a german word.Originally Posted by Eugene
But the example of "ja"is correct (russian spelling is "яволь").
