    That's why I would like to watch at least one film featuring James Bond. People seem to either hate anything connected with James Bond or love everything connected with James Bond. It's a mixed blessing, I guess. I want to form my own opinion, so I'll be able to say next time the topic of James Bond movies is brought up - EITHER: Yeah, I like Bond a lot!!! OR - Da*n! I despise anything that's got at least something to do with Bond.

    The reason that James Bond movies are so well known is not so much because they are so different from anything else in movies but because James Bond movies were the original of this genre. Until James Bond movies appeared in the 1960's there was nothing to compare to them. Since then everyone has copied the style to death. But in the 60's they were special , they were the pioneers of this genre.

    I see. Unfortunately, I was not yet born in the 60s when the first Bond movies started to appear, so now I possibly can't understand the true nature of these movies. Even if I get to see the first movies dating back to the 60s, I won't be able to get rid of the influence all the other movies similar to James Bond ones have had on me.

    Yes, that is true! Another thing is that the early James Bond movies, though classics, now seem a little "corny".

    Also of interest in this new Bond movie film is the beginning sequence of what I think is Russian Climbing.

    However, I'd still like to see the new James Bond Movie. Though the same holds true for the old ones... The thing is I have more interesting films to see now and in the near future.
