Just check out the Lingvo entry "us":

    2) мы
/разг./ (употребляется вместо именительного падежа we в позиции приложения, в позиции сказуемого после глагола be)

Only us five were in possession of the secret. — Только мы пятеро знали этот секрет.

    I am returned!
    No, it's 'we dorks'. n00bs.
If you remove the thingy-ma-bob, in this case 'dorks' the sentence should still make sense. "Us are hijacking..."

Black Mage, don't confuse the poor people. "Us dorks" is perfectly good colloquial ("cq.") grammar. When you knock on a door and someone asks "Who's there?" whaddya say - "It is I." ? Ofcoursenot. It's "It's me."

Just reminds me that I am glad I grew up in Amerika.

    Just sign me,

Just because we suck at speaking our own damned language doesn't mean we need to corrupt everyone with any desire to learn English.

You can be wrong if you want, but please don't claim that yours is the one right and true way.

Next time I knock on a door and somebody asks "Who's there?", I will respond "It is I".

Personally, I think it sounds cool.

It sounds weird to any Russian who studied English! "It is I?" Do you mean you are the pronoun?

Hm, I remember such a tricky thing, e.g.: My friend and I... Why not 'me'?

    -Кто там?
    -Это я!

    or...

    -Кто там?
    -Свои.

Both are nominative case... In English, I is the nominative case of the first person singular pronoun.
