my interest in Russian is the fact that i plan to travel soon..I have a Russian name...thanks to my parents..and i've only just begun thinking about learning Russian..so it's a ground up education so to speak..this seemed the best thing to try first...and hey thanks for the welcome

Yeah, you can definitely learn a lot here, and there are many native speakers of Russian that speak English better than us native speakers!

Nah, no real joke... Rytom asked if "Bandycat" was a nickname for a "Bandicoot". Then, DDT said to keep your hands off the bandicoots. It's an animal native to Australia, and he is Australian. That's pretty much how it started...ok....
