Gosh it sure looked like a UFO!
What is swamp gas?? How come there is a cloud of it over Moscow? I don't think we have that in London!

They're coming. In the US there is going to be a series about ETs that look like humans. I couple of movies I saw being advertised were about ETs. Hollywood preps the psyche.

Actually, I think, it's a thinning of clouds which have shape of slowly expanding ring. It illuminated by the sun at small angle, the thinning looks brighter and it gives false impression of three-dimensional object. Similar effects are used in image editing software. The ring could arise because a plane had crossed the layer of clouds for example. The picture is very unusual though.

We remind that a short video which had been posted to the Internet and then shown on Russian TV channels caused quite a stir throughout the world. The hopes for meeting the aliens however were shuttered later. In particular, the specialists of Rosgidromet (a Russian meteorological agency) assured that this appearance was not an alien invasion but merely an optical effect.

"This effect is purely optical though it looked undoubtedly very impressive," commented the Rosgidromet specialists. "Several atmospheric fronts have passed over Moscow lately, there's been an inflow of arctic air and the sun was illuminating it from the West - well here's the result of it."
