There is one actual mistake there. The saying "лаптем щи хлебать" does not imply that this is a hard task, rather the opposite.
Or I didn't get a joke.
"Лаптем щи хлебать" means "to be uneducated, uncivilized", быть деревенщиной (yokel, country bumpkin).
"Это вам не лаптем щи хлебать" = ~ Это вам не ерунда какая-нибудь (не ваши деревенские занятия), не легкое что-нибудь.
In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.
