I look forward to the day a Serb comes to this site and doesn't mentioned "Our Russian brothers".

U don't like that serbs think so? May be you prefer they say something like "that coward russians who betrayed us and left alone with US bombs?"

The Serbs were our friends, too! Until President Clinton decided to bomb them for his own political gain.

No, I'd like them to just say "Russians" and not "Russian brothers".

At best, Serbs and Russians are cousins :P

Well sorry if i "of ended" someone by saying Brothers don't see what's wrong whit that? Since 85% of the Serbian people really loves the Russian People and sees Russia as a big brother.

Sorry that we are not Western "Poltrons" like rest of the Eastern Europeans and line up to be Ass fu**cked by the West for an Big-mac & Coca-Cola.

I would sincerely like to thank all the rest of you Russian "cousins" for the support we get now and that weave got thrum centurys, from the Russian People. It really means a lot to us in these hard times for Serbia.

    Thank You!

Откуда такая любовь между русскими и сербскими? Русские в той же степени любят сербских или это просто любовь без взаимости?

I don't know, basurero, but I've been loving Serbians all my life. I don't know why, just a big symphathy. I suppose Serbians treat Belarusians the same way as Russians.
Maybe because they're Slavs too? Although Ukrainians and Russians don't like each other much.

Thank you, basurero, but could you clarify for me the usage of the word "Slavs"?

Lingvo says it must be with "the" :

    славяне; коллектив; the Slavs,
    -- Да? Коту Ваське, бл##?
    -- Нет, Я кот Васька :-/

It's just the name of a person who is Slavic. You don't say it like that for the same reason you wouldn't say "they're the Russians too" or "they're the North Americans too". Lol, I can't explain it any better than that...

Vincent, of course we like Belaruss as Russians. I don't speak Russian but as much as i under stud Basureru asked something like "since when do the Serbs love so much the Russians" well heres the answer to your question since forever and especially since the 29-th of July 1914

Tell him to look it up in the History books.

July 28th of 1914, World War I begins: Austria-Hungary declares war on Serbia after it fails to meet the conditions of an ultimatum it set on July 23 following the Sarajevo assassination.

Telegram from His Royal Highness, the Alexander of Serbia to His Majesty the Emperor of Russia.

DEEPLY touched by the telegram which your Majesty was pleased to address to me yesterday, I hasten to thank vou with all my heart. Your Majesty may rest assured that the cordial sympathy which your Majesty feels towards my country is especially valued by us, and fills our hearts with the belief that the future of Serbia is secure now that it is the object of your Majesty's gracious solicitude. These painful moments cannot but strengthen the bonds of deep attachment which bind Serbia to Holy Slav Russia, and the sentiments of everlasting gratitude which we feel for the help and protection afforded to us by your Majesty will ever be cherished in the hearts of all the Serbs.
