Even had this 'godfather'-looking fellow in a seriously expensive suit and lots of gold jewelry sitting alone at a corner, lamp-lit table, and holding court. And guys, also in seriously expensive suits and jewelry would come in periodically, and deferentially sit at the table, and then ask this guy for something, then be sent away. It was hilarious! Right out of a Scorsese film! We were convinced that he was either mafia, or some seriously powerful Muskovite.
