I didn't read the article because I don't care (you're right about that) but I'm assuming it was an adult pretending to be a 14 year old girl.

Hence you can conclude he is attracted to children. Also he has endeavoured (in the cyber world) to interfer with (what he thought) was a young girl.

It raises certain questions, let alone about entrapment.

I don't really understand what the "questions" you're referring to are. It's not as if they've bombarded him hundreds of times with people who appeared to be of-age and requested sex with him. It's completely the other way around -- he solicited her. Really, how do you expect to catch such scum, other than physically catching them in the act of raping some kid?

What is more appalling to me is that our homeland "security" personel are SO stupid. It's common knowledge (been talked about on every primetime news show and published in most papers and news magazines) that the cops monitor the internet looking for child porn and criminals. But to send his picture WITH his work ID in full view is beyond comprehension. HE'S A TOTAL IDIOT!!!!!
