I read that Ш and Щ come from Hebrew shin, and also Ц may have ceom from hebrew.

I think Cyrillic developed in Serbia.

St. Cyrill and Methodius were from Macedonia (that's Greek Macedonia), not to be confused with Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia
