    Gerty vs Tolstoy

    According to my sources, Gerty has just won the 2005 annual Literary Award "Заветная мечта" nomination for the Best Science Fiction Novel. The jury was chaired by Eduard Uspensky, the creator of the Cheburashka character.

    Umm, yes, it is strange, yet this is what the official web-page calls the ceremony. Apparently the initial call for entries was issued in the fall of 2005, hence 2005 I guess.
