I just came here to complain and whine like a sissy girl. OMG. I felt something crawling on my leg just now, and I look down, and there is a big ugly spider ON MY LEG.....i hate spiders more than anything....who needs that many legs?!?!? Plus they way they move, and look....

It was really gross. Is anyone else deathly afraid of spiders...or am i just a wuss?

I'm not afraid of spiders, though many an animal look repulsive.
I may say now that there is only one living thing which can give me a terrible scare, I don't know why...

You can call me a wuss or even something worse... Since early childhood I dread crayfishes and the like. It's something psychological, when I was very-very young, the only image of it in a book used to scare the hell out of me. Now it's better. Though, NO ONE will make me even touch one...

Where I grew up we would get spiders as big as your hand crawling on the walls in our bedrooms. Some of them could kill you. I HATE spiders.

Thank God, no spiders available to see in so small a compass of my flat.

Looks similar to the one my dad smashed on the wall one night. It was right by my head while I was in bed.

We had one huge spider that eats birds, kept in formaldehyde.

lol @ DDT. Yea i have heard some horror stories of CD sized spiders crawling around on the walls. And im terrified of spiders... I guess australia might not be the best place for me, but with so many around, growing up with them, i thought maybe you'd get used to them? But i guess not.

I dont know what it is about spiders. Im not afirad of being bitten (Though that would really blow) and i dont know... I just hate them.

Its just the thought of the hairy 8 legged, web spinning, bird eating, fang wielding, wall climbing, fast running, far jumping, poison mongler that just doesnt appeal to me.

I love spiders! I can't think of any animal I don't like, I have had some interesting pets... I had a peruvian pink-toe tarantula that was as big as my hand, (never bit anything, and I played with it all the time), scorpions, iguana, chameleons, turtles, snakes, a ferret, lots of others...
Someday I'll have a spider monkey.... Someday...!
