It doesn't have bistro. I know we got it from French...but it should still count as "of Russian origin"

    steppe ("...na steppe krugoooooooooooom")
    ??? What is it?

mammoth (-th- !?!? from Russian !?!? Yep, apparently)
Dont think it's Russian. Most close Russian word - мамонт, ancient kind of elephant.

sable (bit smaller than a mammoth)
??? And what the connection to Russian?

Mammoth is also the English word for an ancient kind of elephant. It just gets used as an adjective to mean "giant".

If you're asking about the word, according to dictionary.com
steppe: n. A vast semiarid grass-covered plain, as found in southeast Europe, Siberia, and central North America.
If you're asking about the whole quote, it's a Russian folk song about a dying coachman. Have a listen to it if you can find it somewhere, it's a nice song.

True, it's obsolete Russian, but Russian nonetheless.

    from Old Russian соболь

Did you even check the link that I put in the post? The first (if you're talking about the word) and last questions could have been answered just by you doing a little clicking.

Мамонт is not a word of Russian origin, I think.
