Thread: Crimean Flag?

I was watching Russia Today, with the annoying British guy, and they had a story on the Crimeans who were protesting the US Marines who were there. A bunch of them had flags that I'd never seen before. It was like the Russian flag, but without the white field -- top half was blue, bottom half red. Anyone know what this is? I thought it might be the Crimean flag, but I googled it, and it doesn't look like what showed up.

Yeah. That's definitely not it -- that's what I got in google. That's what confuses me about the flag they were waving...

Is it the one on this picture, kinda hard to see?

I might suppose it's a flag of Black Sea Navy - русский черноморский флот - or elsewhat.

I can't tell. I've googled for other pics, but nothing really. That sucks...

Anyway the blue field should mean the SEA
and the red filed...a blood? A meat? A strawberry?
Perhaps they just didn't find a piece of a white material to make a normal Russian flag?

I can't see the flags propely, but it looks like flags of "Блок Наталии Витренко" (one of the Ukrainian opposer parties).

Maybe it was the Vitrenko flag then...or maybe I'm just insane...
