    bilingual russian poetry?

    hello! me again!

(sorry if this question has been asked here allready.... i did a search and didn't instantly see anything... but ill admit i didnt dig too deep) *I run a forum as well... so i know how annoying it is when people constantly ask the same stupid questions over and over... haha

right.... Im in need some books containing russian poetry!

(preferably bilingual.... and preferably quite modern...but if anyone knows of anything REALLY GOOD thats lacking the english translation I would be willing to take a crack at that as well)

I think i have found pretty much all the online bilingual poetry out there.... and google has turned up a few books.... but i would loooove to see if anyone has any recomendations before i run out and buy them...

    anyone?

Maybe we should have a special Poetry forum
No wait! Maybe we should put Music and Poetry in one forum. That way ensuring that I don't ever haver click on another thread about either!

You know I hate poetry. I hate music too. We should have a forum about all the things that I hate.

I have a book that contains Pushkin poems in Russian, with literal English translations underneath. I like it alot.

Actually I think it was prose and poetry. Anyway.

I'd recommend the book "The Heritage of Russian Verse" edited by Dimitri Obolensky. You can get a used copy very cheaply on amazon. It has over 500 pages worth of Russian poetry all with English translations.

I also have a good dual-language Pushkin book, "Selected Verse" edited by John Fennell, but I think that may be harder to get unless you're in the UK.

    Happy reading!
