    BBC: Ancient plants back to life after 30,000 frozen years

    Russian scientists have brought back to life 30,000 years old plant thanks to the Arctic ground squirrel: BBC News - Ancient plants back to life after 30,000 frozen years. I think the squirrel looked like this:

    Wow! That is amazing. I am glad the little guy escaped from his icy predicament! And those plants - very cool! You can clearly see that the plants have evolved when you compare these ancient species to their modern relatives.
