    Many pronouns and question words seem to be very close to Arabic, e.g. "ana", "anta/anti", "man", "min"...
    I would be grateful if you would correct my mistakes, since I would like my English to sound as natural as possible.

    Yes thats true! Because both are SEMITIC languages! You may compare it with old or classical arabic. the ethiopian language came from the older ethiopian language called "geez" which is one of the oldest languages in the world, many other languages came from!
    Although today "geez" is spoken by some few people, mostly professors and church people!
