You have no idea what your talking about, that doesn't even sound good. My argument isn't correct because the author didn't use the exact words and phrasing that you have whimsically chosen?

I am a native English speaker. And both 'writhing in pain' and 'gyrating wildly to dull the pain' are in the active voice.
You said the senteces do not have a logical relationship with the text....
(Edited. L.) The whole point is, only ONE of the sentences makes logical sense; the student has to choose which one it is. And that is the 5th. And the sentences are to with the text as they are...
