To me, "Как ты?" sounds like a machine translation from English :)
"Как дела?", "Как делишки?", "Как делищи?", "Как оно ничего?", "Как жизнь?", "Как житуха?" - that is what I actually hear around....
Женя абсолютно права. По-русски лучше сказать "Как ты поживаешь?" или "Как дела?"
