She may have had other books in mind. Don't give me the pointing thing, come on :) I agree it's an 80-20 thing that you'd use 'the' there, but the point is I didn't see a necessity for a correction.

Dogboy's correction was unnecessary. 'this' is perfectly good in this context.
'this' is particularly appropriate if you are contrasting this book with other books.
