It doesn't look like fake. and it dates back to the 80's so USSR was still there.

and the coin is flipped over but i used my webcam to take the pictures. (mirrored for Skype :D )

i forgot to mention that this happened during the 1980's. that's when my father worked in kuweit. it might be a souvenir from the museum as you said.
