А с чего ты взял, что carrier в обязательном порядке должен указываться как телефонная компания? Это довольно универсальное слово. Я могу назвать carrier'ом хоть подставку под кофе, так что, лингво...

И ты лазил за значением этого слова в словарь?
По-моему тут ежу понятно, что carrier не может значить ничего другого, кроме телефонной компании.

Тем более афаик лингво является не своим словарем,...

IT's ok! Russians don't use many words that can be found in a dictionary. But they exist, that's the point. Do people say them or they don't, that's not the subject. Dictionaries are not made of...
