well, its a trend. i remember saying "ксерокс" to describe a copy made on a copier. to this day people still say "ксерокопия"....
and xerox is only one of the companies producing copiers. nobody...

i agree. only instead of "мне понтяно" i often hear people saying "ну, понтяно". and in this case sometimes it does sound like "непонятно"
