I simply try to think logically. Russian second name Мейерова or perhaps Меерова seems to have German origin. Like Мейерхольд. Meer means Sea or Ocean...

My piano tutor had such second name - Meerova with the stress on the first e is a second name as well - there is no such first name in Russia.
I guess that root Meer has German origins. Perhaps it...
