Well, now that I've looked through it some, it does seem rather tourist-y, but maybe it'll be good for vocabulary? I do like the CDs though - can listen to real Russian - my only chance to!
In addition to the new Penguin Russian Course, I'm also using Oxford's Taking Off in Russian book and CD set. Has anyone used this before? It seems pretty solid from the little I've worked with it....
