Thread: Greetings from the Midwest!

I'm 22 and live 'out in the middle of nowhere' as I've been told by many... I'm a Christian and am preparing to be a missionary. I play violin, viola, piano, and a little mandolin and love to sing! I live on a farm and hand milk cows, hand shear sheep, butcher chickens, throw square bales, and lots, lots more.
I've been working on learning Russian for almost a year, but feel like I'm not making much progress now. I have quite a few Russian (well, most were born in the US, but speak Russian at home and call everyone else "Americans" ) friends and they have been helping me out.
I joined another Russian language learning forum, but no one would answer my threads even though there were hundreds of views . I hope people are more friendly on here and I can make some new friends!
