Thread: Dark Greetings from South Africa

Hello there my name is Lucian I'm 25, male, white, and goth. I live in Amanzimtoti in the east coast just south of Durban.

I'm new here and just figured I would say hi, also I would love to learn more about Russia and the language since I really would love to move to Russia

Hi and welcome to the forum! I don't think there have been any South Africans here before.
Most are Russian, North American, British or continental Europeans (like me). How did you comme to get interested in Russia?

Hi Sibernetica and welcome! I heard some time back that Georgia attempted to invite some of the SA farmers (I guess with no success for now), but it's news to me Russia was also on the prospects. That's interesting.

I just love Russia for some reason.... okay I wont lie the women's accents is possibly a reason but ever since childhood I have had some fascination with Russia, its the snow, its the people, its the cities.... I don't know much about Russia but I know its a place where I would love to be

just so btw my really nice phone that I was so happy with got stolen so I'm doing this through my work pc and the damned bastards firewall is preventing me from uploading a pic to my profile

So never having heard of your area of SA, I looked it up and found it is a great surfing area and it led me to the thought that no one is truly happy with what they have. You seem to be in a beach area that doesn't get much above 80 and you want to move to Russia where it is always cold and snowy! Do I have that correct??

No, you are wrong. Russia is just too big to have the same temperature everywhere.

well yes that be correct....... not saying I'm not happy here but its just like being at an awesome job that your not not happy with and would rather do something that you want to do... I have it good here but I want to be in Russia, if it better or worse it doesn't matter to me but that's where I want to be

I think South Africans and Russians would be a good mix.

Yes, yes... You all have taught me that and if I could have a house right where that photo was taken with the pretty yellow flowers and close the sea... I would probably move there ASAP and have you come with me to be my personal language teacher

But it seems that our Mr. South African wants SNOW after living at the beach all these years. I personally think he sound test drive before buying.

lol I lived in the south drakens burg for two years.. just go google that during our winter period and you will see there isn't much diff with all the snow, besides I'm not much of a beach person. I hate the sand
